Druise Ethel (Sanford) Meier

Druise Ethel (Sanford) Meier, 88, of Baytown, Texas was born June 26, 1930 in Hemphill, Texas and passed away in her home on October 15, 2018. Druise and Peck have 4 children and owned Baytex Rentals for 38 years. She was a member of Pruett and Lobit Church of Christ for 54 years and also was a member of the Art League and the Porcelain Guild for many years. She is preceded in death by her parents: Drewey E. and Vergya (Jacks) Sanford and son-in-law Bill (Skeeter) Walton. She is survived by her husband P.E. (Peck) Edward Meier of 68 years; children: Judy (Jack) Haden of Liberty, Texas; Jody Walton of Chattanooga, Tennessee; Jimmy (Carrie) Meier of Austin, Texas; and Joy (Sam) Powers of Baytown, Texas; as well as 10 grandchildren: Kristi (Joel) Horton, Kevin (Cambridge) Haden, Kerri (Randy) Ventura, Kelli Haden, Jannette (Brandon) Roberts, Cortney (Colton) Husband, Kalyne Meier, Taylor Powers, Savannah (Kevin) Zinter, and Cameron Powers as well as 9 great-grandchildren. Her grandsons and grandsons-in-law will serve as pallbearers. Honorary Pallbearers are Jerry Witt, Glenn Jones, and Randy Jackson.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 3:00-5:00 pm at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas, 77521. The funeral service will be held Monday, October 22, 2018, at 10:00 am at the funeral home with Mr. Jesse Flowers officiating. Interment will follow at Grandview Cemetery in Pasadena, Texas.
