Born in Baytown,Texas, Dudley lived a life marked by humor, resilience, and an exuberant spirit that made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him. He spent much of his career in the oil and gas industry, where he was respected for his strong work ethic and deep knowledge of non-destructive testing. Dudley took pride in doing things the right way and was always willing to share what he knew with others.
Outside of work, Dudley found joy in the simple, grounding parts of life such as hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors. He especially cherished quiet mornings with a cup of coffee on the porch of the seventy-five acre ranch where he was blessed to retire. That land, and the peace it brought him, became one of his greatest joys.
Dudley is survived by his wife, Robin Breeding, with whom he would have celebrated twenty years of marriage this September. He is also survived by his stepdaughters Jennifer Bevel and husband Ken, Amber VanDerSchaegen and husband Dennis, and Jessica Gladden, whom he lovingly viewed as his own children. Dudley adored his grandchildren Gianna Perez, Brycen Woolard, and Levi Gladden, along with multiple beloved "grandogs" who were always part of the family. He is also survived by his cousins Belinda Whitten-Powledge, Patricia Williams and husband Jack, Sharon “Sparkle” Breeding Hill, and Barbara Ray.
He is preceded in death by his father Albert D. Breeding, his mother Catherine Breeding, his uncle Elbert “Bull” Breeding, his cousin Catherine “Sue-Baby” Breeding, and multiple other cousins.
A funeral service will be held on June 30, 2026, at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home in Baytown, Texas. Visitation will take place from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by a chapel service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m., and graveside services at 11:30 a.m. The family welcomes all who knew and loved Dudley to join in honoring his life.
Though he is gone from our sight, he remains forever in our hearts.
