

Edith Lee Comstock (previously Edith Dixon, Edith Swick) ascended into the loving arms of God on January 30, 2021 while in hospice care in Baytown, TX. She was born on September 6, 1928 in Houston, TX and lived most of her 92 years in and around the Houston, TX area. She also resided a number of years in Goodrich, TX.
Edith was a loving mother and homemaker who was a wonderful cook and lifelong member of the Assembly of God church. Edith loved music and was a self-taught piano player and possessed a beautiful singing voice. She was also a very good artist who could sketch the most life like pictures of people. Edith was a talented seamstress who could recreate a dress from seeing it in a store or picture.
She was preceded in death by her three husbands, her first husband and the father of her three children, Wade Howard Dixon, her second husband Woody Swick and her third husband Gene Comstock. Edith also lost two of her siblings before her death, Karen Grimsinger, Raymond Grimsinger and Betty Meeler. She is survived by her three children, Karen Dixon Lowe, Hub Dixon and Shirley Main. She is also survived by her sister Kathy Martin, seven grandchildren, five great children and numerous nieces and nephews.
Due to current circumstances the family will host a memorial service at a later date. In lieu of usual remembrances please consider making a donation in memory of Edith to a charity of your choice.
