

For most of her life, Edna resided in Baytown, where she graduated from Cedar Bayou High School in 1949. She was a longtime member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church and formerly worked for Fowler Insurance. After retirement, Delroy and Edna made their home in Hamilton, Texas. There, she enjoyed reading, cross stitching, playing dominoes with friends, and watching the deer and turkeys out the window from her favorite chair. Another highlight of her retirement was hosting Cedar Bayou High School reunions at their Hamilton farm. After suffering a stroke in 2006, they returned to Mont Belvieu to be closer to family and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Claborn Sr. and Beadie Neal Hooper; loving husband of nearly 60 years, Delroy Mulkey; brothers, A. C. ""Bubba"" Hooper, and Wayne Lee Hooper, and sisters, Ruby Heron, Margie Peloquin, and Rosemary Hooper.
Survivors include her sons, Tommy Mulkey and wife, Julie, Dennis Mulkey and wife, Jackie and Mike Mulkey; brother, C. M. Hooper, Jr.; sisters in law, Lola Hooper, and Brenda Hooper; 7 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many dear friends.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, January 30, 2015 at Navarre Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Cedar Bayou Masonic Cemetery with Pastor Josh Joines officiating. Edna's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
