

Edward Patrick Kenney, Jr., 90, of Baytown was born January 15, 1925, in Baytown and passed away Thursday, April 23, 2015, in a local hospital. He was a 1943 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School, where he had a swing band that played at U.S.O. dances and social events. He was a U. S. Army Air Force WWII veteran. He retired from Exxon Chemical, coached Little League Baseball for 13 years, and was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Belle Kenney; brother, Jack Kenney; daughter, Kathy Lynne Kilgore; and son-in-law, Len Raley. He is survived by his wife of over 70 years, Betty Snyder Kenney of Baytown; daughter, Kay Raley of Beach City; sons and daughters-in-law, Eddy and Charline Kenney of Houston and Dr. John and Michelle Kenney of College Station; ten grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; and special lifelong friends, Johnny Opryshek and Jack Bains.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday, April 27, 2015, beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a funeral to follow at 2:00 p.m. A private family graveside service will follow.
Serving as pallbearers will be Christian Salas, Kenny Baumbach, Kade Kenney, Koby Kenney, Julio Ramirez, Russell Traylor, Scott McIntyre, Jeff Lindsey, and Kyle Patrick Kilgore.
His family would like to say a special ""thank you"" to Dr. Chris and Kim Hays, his caregiver, Mary Pelage, Dr. Jim Gill, Baytown Fire and Rescue Services, special neighbors, Jesse and Lynn Taylor and Bruce and Linda Robbie, and the staff of Signature Health Services.
