

He served in the U.S. Army during WWII from 1942 until 1945. He was employed by Exxon Refinery for 31 years, retiring in 1977. He was a beloved family man.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Vera Leonard; his sister, Wilma Powers; his brothers, Wint and Virgil Leonard; and his grandson, Kyle Novosad.
He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Dorothy; his daughter and son-in-law Cheryl and Gary Novosad; his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Kathi Leonard; grandchildren, Jason and Kim Novosad , Karissa Contreras, Karli Leonard, Kade and Angie Johnson, and Katie G’Sell; great grandchildren, Cameron Contreras, Taylor, Ashley, and Erica Novosad and Kaylor Wilks; sister-in-law, Lulu Leonard and several nieces and nephews.
The family wants to thank the staff and caregivers at Remington Park and Faith Community Hospice, as well as, the caregivers that were with him at home.
The family will receive friends Sunday, September 24, 2006 from 2:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX

Graveside services will be held 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 25, 2006 at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, TX with Bishop Brent Brunson officiating.
