Elisia Rodriguez

Elisia “Alice” Rodriguez, “Mama Alice”, 68, went home to her Heavenly Father on Wednesday, April 15, 2015, at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital in Baytown, TX, with her loving family at her side. She was born in Baytown, TX, on December 23, 1946.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Louis Hernandez, Sr. and Ramona; brother, Martin Hernandez; and sister, Molly Basquez.

She is survived by her sisters, Mary Ellen “Mom” and husband Cipriano Garcia, Virgie Munoz, and Yolanda and husband Manuel Garcia; and brother, Louis Hernandez, Jr. and wife Mary. Although God didn’t bless her with her own children, she was blessed in helping raise Leslie Perez, Tracie Landeros, Albert and Ruben Aguilar, and K’Lynn and Jr Perez, who were like her own and called her “Mama”.

She enjoyed family time, playing cards, going to bingo and the casino, and she loved going to the Dollar Store.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m., with a rosary beginning at 7:00 p.m. by Marie Jaurez, at Earthman Funeral Home.

Serving as pallbearers will be Albert Aguilar, Ruben Aguilar, Carlos Ortiz, Ezra Perez, Mark Hernandez, Tommy Balero III, Martin Hernandez, Jr., and Michael Hernandez, Armando Sustaita. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Jose Aguilar, Rudy Maldonado, George Maldonado, Peter Maldonado, John Hagberg, and Fabian Maldonado.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sterling-White Cemetery, 11011 FM 2100 Road, Highlands, TX 77562.
