Elizabeth Schoultz Dubois

Elizabeth Schoultz Dubois went to be with the Lord on July 18th, 2008 at the age of 65, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born on December 19, 1942, in Gueydan, Louisiana, she was preceded in death by her parents, Johnnie and Daisy G. Schoultz, sisters Theresa LeJeune and Patricia Vincent and brother Gilbert Schoultz. Elizabeth was a caring, nurturing, loving Christian woman who sought to find the good in everyone around her. She was a member of the Eastside Church of Christ and had a compassionate heart. Her warm, beautiful smile and generous hospitality welcomed you in to her life, which was never too full for one more friend. She is loved beyond words and is a wonderful blessing to the lives of those who knew her and will be deeply missed by friends and family.

She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband of 47 years, James E. Dubois, Sr. of Baytown, TX, her two loving children, Regina L. Vestal and her husband Johnnie ""Trey"" Vestal III of Baytown, TX and James E. ""Bubba"" Dubois Jr. and his wife Becky Dubois of Dayton, TX, sisters Pauline Sonnier of Gueydan, LA, Shirley and her husband Preston LeJuene of Gueydan, LA, Mary Hines of Jacksonville, TX, and Jeanette Connor of Lockport, LA, brothers Preddie and his wife Donna Schoultz of Baytown, TX, Willie and his wife Delores Schoultz of Jennings, LA, and Howard Schoultz of Lake Arthur, LA, grandchildren Ashley and her husband Joey Holcomb of Baytown, TX, Jamie and her husband Blake Harrott of Cypress, TX, Lacey Dubois of Mt. Belvieu, TX, Stephanie and her husband Terry Cooper of Baytown, TX, Amanda Vestal of Baytown, TX and Brittanie Dubois of Dayton, TX, great grandchildren Kaden Dubois, Kye Holcomb, Jailyn Harrott, Madison Cooper and Kayla Cooper. The family would also like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the staff at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital-Alexander Campus (Hospice Unit) and Odyssey Healthcare for the outstanding care and support you administered to our beloved Elizabeth and us during this difficult transition.

Visitation for Elizabeth will be held on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, TX 77521. A funeral service will follow on Monday, July 21, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., also at Navarre Funeral Home, with Kris Emerson officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Palms Memorial Park Cemetery in Dayton.
