Elizabeth Bess Moon

Elizabeth “Bess” Moon, 81, of Baytown, TX was born September 18, 1924 in New Orleans, LA and passed away Friday, September 8, 2006 in a local hospital. She was a Registered Nurse and retired from Gulf Coast Hospital and had worked in several doctor’s offices during her 33 years of nursing service. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Sunday from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. A Funeral Mass will be Monday, September 11, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Rev. Dwight Canizares officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Lundy Moon Jr. and brother, Edgar “Buddy” Doize and is survived by her sons, John Moon and wife Deedra of Baytown and Jamie Moon and fiancé Wendi Sorrell of Florida; brothers, Jim Doize of Pasadena and Charles “Pokey” Doize of La Porte; grandchildren, Aaron Moon and Lauren Moon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
