

Betty was born February 5, 1919 in Terre Haute, Indiana to her late Parents: Curtis Hopkins and Amy Woodruff Hopkins, graduated from Rosedale High School and attended Indiana State Teachers College, where she received her degree in Education, and taught for many years in Indiana before moving to Texas. During her time at Indiana State Teachers College she was elected Homecoming Queen.
Mrs. Prall lived in Baytown for the last 36 years, was a member of Grace United Methodist Church and was a retired teacher from Ross S. Sterling High School after teaching there from 1973 to 1986. Her other memberships included Women's Club, Garden Club and Pilot Club and her favorite interests were traveling, flower gardening and playing Bridge.
She was preceded in death by her Parents; Husband: George Prall and her Brothers: Jack Hopkins and Jim Hopkins.
Survivors include: Children: Michael Prall and his wife Nadine, Jane Semmes and her husband George, Janet Ducharme and her husband Gil, Richard Prall and his wife Betty and Robert Prall and his wife Darlene; Sisters: Ann Kuhn and Jean Hendrix; 11 Grandchildren and 11 Great-Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M., Saturday, February 2, 2008 at Navarre Funeral Home & Cremation Services of Baytown.
Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, February 5, 2008 at the Calvary Cemetery in Terre Haute, Indiana under the direction of Callahan & Hughes Funeral Home in Terre Haute.
