She was born in Cedar Bayou on May 5, 1915 to her late parents, Ira Williams and Viva Maley Williams, lived in Cove all of her life and was a member of the Cove Church of Christ.
Mrs. McKay was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arnold McKay; son, Freddie Stayton; daughter, Janice Stayton and one great-granddaughter.
Survivors include her daughters, Hope Johnson and her husband Jimmy of Cove, Delois Bishop and her husband Michael of Tyler and Anita Foy of Tyler; 6 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Thursday, April 30, 2009 at Navarre Funeral Home and there will be a private family burial at the Tilton Cemetery in Cove.
