Emma Drake

She was born October 2, 1916 in Plantersville, Texas to her late parents, Dominic and Teresa Wagner and was a longtime resident of Baytown.

Mrs. Drake was a retired Cafeteria Supervisor from Gulf Coast Hospital after 25 years of service, attended Old River Baptist Church where she was active in the Sunday School meetings and loved being around her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hollie Drake; son, Robert E. Drake; 5 brothers and 2 sisters.

Her survivors include: sons, Hollie Drake and his wife Wynona of Cleveland and Wyatt Drake and his wife Janie of Baytown; daughter, Ethel Hall and her husband James of Old River; brother, Jackie Wagner of Dayton; daughter-in-law, Sharon Drake of Dayton and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, December 27, 2008 at Old River Baptist Church with Rev. Danny Biddy officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Crest Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2008 at Navarre Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be: Clayton Drake, Toby Drake, Mike Hall, Doug Hall, Ryan Hall, Nolan Hall, Harrison Dentler, Charleton Yarbrough, Robey Harshaw and Dillon Drake.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. James House for their special attention and care.
