Erbie "Nanny" Padgett

Erbie “Nanny” Padgett, 94, of Baytown passed away October 27, 2010. She was born to Pick and Maude Smith on Feb. 7, 1916 in Grand Saline, TX. A resident of Baytown for 65 years, Nanny loved gardening, cooking and especially her family. She was a lifetime member of Pruett and Lobit Street Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles Bernard Padgett; sons, Lawrence “Punkin” Padgett and Billy R. Padgett; sister, Betsy Jackson and brother, Joe Bob Smith.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Zavodny and husband, Gordon of Baytown; grandchildren, Donna Woolsey and husband, Doc of Mont Belvieu, Cathy Loftin of Baytown, William Padgett and wife, Kelly of Boyd, TX, Debra Padgett of Houston and Steve Padgett of Houston; great-grandchildren, Chase Woolsey of Baytown, Ashton Woolsey of Mont Belvieu, Aubrey Loftin of Baytown, Jordan Padgett and Wade Padgett of Boyd, TX.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. James House, Station #3.

Services will be officiated by Jesse Flowers of Pruett and Lobit Street Church of Christ.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Friday, Oct. 29, 2010 at Earthman Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2010 at Earthman Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery, Baytown, TX.
