Ernest Henry (Hank) Stoerner IV, 40, peacefully entered Heaven in the wee hours of the morning on Thursday, October 13, 2016, surrounded by his loving family. Hank, as he was affectionately known, retained his sense of humor throughout his illness.
Hank was born on December 21, 1975, and was a lifelong resident of Baytown and a 1994 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School.
Known and loved by many, Hank truly enjoyed people and was most happy spending time with family and friends around the pool, Sunday Funday and especially during the annual family vacation to Wimberley; however, what he loved most was any and all time spent with the love of his life, his wife, Ginger and his mini-me son, Jake.
A long-time employee of Covestro, Hank was a member of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church and a fanatic sports aficionado. Hank was known for giving people he loved special nicknames which became commonly used by family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, E. H. Stoerner, Jr. and W. L. and Ora McHenry. Hank is survived by his wife, Ginger; son, Jacob Ryan; mother, Linda Stoerner; father, Ernie Stoerner and wife, Paula; brother, Clint Stoerner; step-sister, Jessica Reed; grandmother, Jean Stoerner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Larry and Stella Arnold; sisters-in-law, Heather Arnold and Sarah Jones; and nephew, John McGowan and niece, Shelby Shipp. Additional survivors are a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, October 15, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at Cedar Bayou Grace Methodist Church, 2714 Ferry Rd., Baytown, TX 77520 with Rev. John Newsome officiating.
In lieu of flowers or other remembrances, donations can be made to the following in Hank's name: Curt's Kitchen, or ""Day School for Little People"", both ministries of Cedar Bayou Grace United Methodist Church or Emma's Hugs, P. O. Box 8388, Baytown, TX 77522.
You will be greatly missed Hank, Babe, Dad, Hankster, Brisket, Hankaman, Shreck, Pranky, and Mernest.
