

She and her younger brother Delbert and older sister Bonnie lived a simple life with Church and family at the heart of it all. Ethel’s genuine compassion and caring for others brought her many blessings of long and enduring relationships.
She married Harvey Black, her childhood sweetheart, and moved to California in the 1950’s. After the addition of their son Greg and daughter Karen they chose to move to Texas to be closer to
Family in the late 1960’s, settling in Baytown. She was happy to be a homemaker, enjoying gardening, sewing, crochet and passing time with neighbors. Her husband Harvey worked at U.S. Steel until his death in 1984.
Ethel is survived by her son Gregory Black, daughter Karen Black Klein, granddaughters Karry Yarbrough and Kapri McBride, and great grandson’s Justin Yarbrough and Blayton Auxier.
