

Eva Carrisalez Marroquin, 82, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026. She was born on April 24, 1944, in Los Fresnos, Texas, to the late Anita Sanchez and Federico Carrisalez, Sr. On January 16, 1965, Eva married the love of her life, a young man by the name of Juan Angel Marroquin. They spent the next 44 years together, building a beautiful life together, while raising their children. She made her career in management in the vehicle import industry. Before she retired, Eva would wake up at 3am to make and sell tacos to the community. She would average about 150 tacos each morning that were sold. She would also ensure her children had breakfast and her husband had lunch every day, all before going to work herself.
Eva pursued many hobbies, some of which included her love for crocheting, crafting, and singing. She was a true artist with her hands. Eva could create just about anything out of thread and yarn. She made dresses for her girls and some of the most amazing barbie outfits you could imagine. Eva was a businesswoman; she would take different items she had made along with chilies she had picked and dried to markets in Mexico to be sold. As a young lady, she would spend her days in the fields picking apples and cherries while also helping her parents in the family market. In her later years, she picked oranges from their family grove. She found joy in helping and donating to her church.
Eva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Juan Angel Marroquin, Sr.; her siblings Andres, Ruby, Petra, Federico, Jr., Margie and Luz Carrisalez. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her children Raul Marroquin and wife Margarita, Cristina Marroquin Garza and husband Lupe, Juan Angel Marroquin, Jr. and wife Odilia, and Diana Marroquin and husband McGee; her grandchildren Sara Frahlman and husband Matthew, Sofia Duran and husband Daniel, David Federico Garza and wife Anna, Priscila Damariz Garza Benavides and husband Homero, Jasmine Crystal Garza, Jaqueline Stephinie Marroquin and fiancé Hilario, Angel Raul Marroquin, Juan Angel Marroquin III, Juliette Marroquin Garcia, and Carlos Andres Garcia; her great-grandchildren Angel Ray and Lucas Salomon Garza; her sisters Cruz Vallejo, Estefana Bojorquez, and Linda Flores; her many nieces and nephews; her sister-in-law Amanda Marroquin; and her brothers-in-law Rolando Marroquin, and Adrian Marroquin and wife Marina; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521, US, on October 1, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral will be held at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521, US, on October 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am.
