Flora L. ""Flo Strickland

Flora (Flo) L. Strickland, 82, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother walked victoriously through the valley of the shadow of death January 21, 2008. She was born February 21, 1925 in Greene County, Mississippi to Henry and Georgia Beach Prine.

Her husband, Joe Strickland, preceded her in death on April 14, 2005 and one grandson, Casey Carter on June 20, 1995. Both Flora and Joe moved to Baytown, Texas in 1966.

She is survived by her two sons Larry Carlisle and wife Susan of Tyler, Texas, Mike Carlisle and wife Nancy of Detroit, Michigan, one daughter, Susan Poe of Houston, Texas, four grandchildren and six great grandchildren.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2008, at the Navarre Funeral Home. Funeral services will be on Friday, January 25, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Navarre Funeral Home Chapel, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas. Burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Special thanks go to her caregiver Antonia ""Erica"" Phillips and her many friends and neighbors.

Honoring the family as pallbearers will be sons Larry and Mike Carlisle, grandsons Chris and Brian Carlisle, and Bryan Pope, and her close friend Bob Anderson.
