He lived in and around Slocum Texas until he was 12 years old. At that time his family moved to Orange, Texas.
Frank graduated from Bridge City High School in 1967. Frank joined the military service on March 28, 1968 and proudly served his country in the United States Army. He spent his tour off duty in Germany, after three years of duty he separated from the Army on March 26, 1971.
During his Military career he married Frances Cherry and had two children, Robert Christopher Gibson and Peggy Marie Gibson.
Frank and family moved to Baytown Texas and he started his work career at Crow’s Service Station on Bayway Drive. After a few years he moved to Long’s Tire Co on Main Street and work for 38 years serving Baytown’s needs for tires. After retiring from that career he worked part time for Sherwin Williams Automotive Paint for five years.
On November 29, 1996 Frank married Peggy Andrick in Baytown.
In January 2019 Frank began his battle with Colon Cancer. On September 5, 2020 he lost the battle, but won everlasting life with his Lord.
Frank was proceeded in death by his parents Frank and Mildred Gibson, sister Vera Jeanette Gibson, his son Robert, son in law Don Swart, granddaughter Haley Harris, great-grand daughters Amelia Frizziola, and Rosalie Frizziola, brother in laws Jerry Bush and Robert Rosson, nephew Jeffery Airheart.
Frank was survived by his wife Peggy, daughter Charlotte Ramey (husband Lamont, children Donielle Frizzoila, {husband Dominick}, Aubrey and Gauge). Son Travis Hoel, (wife Melanie, sons Zachary and Jacob). Daughter in law Autumn Reyna (husband Jose, sons Dylan Hoel, {wife Shelby children Luke, Liam and Natalie}, Brandon and Brett “LJ” Russell). Foster Daughter Alisa Hopkins (children Ashley Edwards {husband Trae Robberson children Kamorah & Kilee Roberts and Majik Robberson}, Jeremy Edwards, Brice, Brody, and Brennen Bellows). Frank’s daughter Peggy Williams (husband Rex, children Rex and Alyssa).
Also survived by sisters Maryilou Hicks (husband James), Joyce Bush and Sussie Rosson, brother Joe Jones. Brother in laws Larry and Mike Andrick, (wife Judy), sister in laws Kathy Airheart and Karen Bunge (husband Gene). Also numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will received friends from 5-7 p.m., Thursday, September 10, 2020, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr., Baytown, Texas 77521. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, September 11, 2020, at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 1200 E. Lobit Ave., Baytown, Texas 77520. Burial will be at Houston National Cemetery, Houston, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Frank’s grandsons; Dylan Hoel, Brandon Russell, Brett LJ Russell, Zachary Hoel, Jacob Hoel, and Gauge Ramey. Honorary Pallbearers are Redeemer Lutheran’s Men’s Breakfast Club members.
