

Frank Smith Jr., 67, of Old River, TX was born June 20, 1937 in Crowville, LA and passed away Tuesday, June 14, 2005 in a Houston hospital. He was a member of the NRA, Church of Christ faith, and the Texas Dutch Oven Society and was a U. S. Army veteran. He was an avid golfer and bowler, but he especially loved to karaoke. He never met a stranger and loved animals, especially his cats.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday, June 17, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Dale Willis officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Ida Belle Smith; sister, Pearl Foss; brothers, Jesse Douglas Smith and Lynn Smith; and son, Tony Smith. He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Smith of Old River; sons and daughters-in-law, Frank III and Karen Smith of Baytown and Shannon and Susan Smith of Hardin; daughters and sons-in-law, Brenda Smith of Baytown, Cindy and David Shipley of Mont Belvieu, and Crystal and Rickey Watton of Dayton; stepdaughter, Marilyn Dressendorfer of Chattanooga, TN; brothers and sisters-in-law, Glynn and Sheila Smith of Ruston, LA, Jerry Wayne and Linda Smith, Dennis Melton and Denise Smith, and Billy and Diana Smith, all of Winnsboro, LA; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruthie Mae and Noah Welch of Gilbert, LA, Shelby Jean and Shane Rivers of Shreveport, LA, and Kathy and Rick Brummett of Mont Belvieu; grandchildren, Tiffany, Casey, Mark, Rachel, Jennifer, Matthew, Amanda, Corissa, Anna, Johnathon, Shannon II, Trenton, Brandon, Christin, and Justin; great grandchildren, Feliscity, Cade, and Stephanie; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Aggie and Eldon David of Oklahoma City, OK, Linda and Charles Humphries of Kenefick, and Ann and Charlie Seely of Birmingham, AL; aunt, Bonnie Hendrix of Baytown; and many, many friends.
