

He leaves behind his 99 year old mother Martha Campbell of Livingston, Texas.
He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sylvia Arlene Campbell; three children and their spouses, Gary and Kristy Campbell, Kelley Campbell-Conner and Danny Conner, Joey and Ashley Campbell. His grandchildren that he cherished, Coy Campbell, Ashley Campbell, Alex Conner, Caden Conner, and Joshua Campbell; his two step-grandchildren, Bryson Rogers and Jordan Rogers; his sister, Ann “Cookie” Campbell and husband Virgil Hargis; his brother, Don Campbell and wife Iris, along with a host of loving relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Rev. Lester Campbell; brother, David Campbell; and niece, Betty Campbell. He was also preceded in death by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, B.B and Alyne Elliott.
He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in 1968. He then went on to graduate from Southern Bible College with an Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Science degree. He was an ordained minister for 57 years and he pastored four churches: Fairbanks Assembly of God, Highlands First Assembly of God, Central Assembly of God and Ralston Presbyterian.
He loved spending quality time fishing, being at the deer lease, watching the grandchildren play sports, or spending time outdoors with the family.
Visitation will be held from 12 - 1 pm, Friday, October 16, 2026, at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Dr, in Baytown, Texas, with the funeral service to begin at 1 pm. Committal will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown, Texas, with Darwin Parrott officiating.
Honored to serve as pallbearers are: Coy Campbell, Alex Conner, Daniel Conner, Shannon Miller, Jacob Burrows and Jorge Santiago. Honorary pallbearer will be Caden Conner.
The family extends their appreciation to Baytown Neal Cancer Center, and Omnix Home Health and Hospice for the care they provided.
Being married for 56 years, one of his favorite sayings before cancer was five little words, “I’ll take care of it”.
