G. Wayne Herman

Wayne was born April 4, 1946 in San Antonio, has resided in Baytown for the last 4 years and had previously lived in Vicksburg, Mississippi and Houma, Louisiana while he was a CFO/Vice President of Southwest Shipyard and had been back in Texas for the last 16 years.

Mr. Herman was a United States Marine Corps veteran who served 2 tours of duty in Vietnam.

He was a longtime member of the Old River Terrace United Methodist Church and had recently become a member of St. Mark's United Methodist Church.

Mr. Herman was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Herman.

Survivors include his wife, Elaine Herman of Baytown; children, Raylene Adams and her husband Eric of Tampa, Florida, Wesley Wayne Herman and his wife Amber of Vanderbilt, Pennsylvania, Aaron Michael Herman of Jacksonville, Florida, Bryan Eric Norman of Corpus Christi, Michael Abrieum Norman of Baytown and Courtney Sheehan and her husband Michael of Orange Park, Florida; sister, Anne Harrison and her husband Brian of Brighton, Michigan; brothers, Nick Herman and his wife Dee of Houston, Guy Herman and his wife Lynn of Austin, Michael Herman and his wife Teresa of Highland Park and Russell Herman and his wife Jan of Fredericksurg; 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2011 at Navarre Funeral Home. A service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 26, 2011 at the funeral home with Rev. Steve Woody and Rev. Mike Proctor officiating.
