

Gale Messer, 66, of Baytown, passed away Saturday, September 7, 2013 in Channelview. She was born May 27, 1947 in Charleston, West Virginia to her late parents, Woodrow Stanley and Vivien Jarrell Stanley.
She was a longtime resident of Baytown, a member of Mont Belvieu First United Pentecostal Church, former member of Grace Tabernacle United Pentecostal Church in Green River, Wyoming and a retired power plant operator.
Mrs. Messer loved going to church, was devoted to her children and grandchildren and enjoyed traveling, cooking and entertaining
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Jesse E. Messer.
Survivors include her sons, Robert Messer and his wife Ursula of Baytown and Kevin Messer and his wife Becky of Ogden, Utah; daughter, Nicole Crank and her husband Steven of Wellington, Colorado; grandchildren, Brandy Waller, Makayla, Olivia, Taimie, Jacob and Kalyn Messer and Lucian Gillen; great-grandchildren; Aaden and Aaliyah Waller; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; William and Dottie Messer of Mammoth, West Virginia, Steve and Norma Bernardi and Joe and Sue Massey all of McAlister, Oklahoma and Darrel and Linda Mahaffey and Cheryl Mendez all of Carlsbad, New Mexico and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 12, 2013 at Navarre Funeral Home with services to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. John Bernardini, II officiating. Entombment will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 14, 2013 at the Kanawha Valley Memorial Gardens Chapel in Glasgow, West Virginia.
