Garrett Scott Weems was born on September 20, 2000, and died on June 5, 2026, at the age of 25. A resident of Houston, Texas, Garrett’s life—though far too brief—left a lasting imprint on the people who were lucky enough to know him.
Garrett graduated from Barbers Hill High School with the Class of 2019, and he was a recent graduate of the University of Houston-Downtown, where he earned a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. In the steady way he moved through the world, there was a quiet care for others—an instinct to listen, to make room, and to treat people with the tenderness they deserved.
He found comfort and expression in creative work, loving writing, painting, and baking his famous sourdough bread. These were not just pastimes, but gentle ways of sharing himself—offering warmth, beauty, and thoughtfulness in forms that could be held, tasted, or remembered. Those who spent time with Garrett knew a calm presence: patient in conversation, soft in spirit, and generous in the everyday ways that matter most.
Garrett fought a hard fight until he couldn’t fight any longer. He is so loved, and those who carry him forward will feel his absence in countless moments—yet will also carry the quiet goodness of who he was. We will never be whole without him.
A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, TX 77521, US, on June 20, 2026, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm.
