

Gary Armer, Sr., 80, of Baytown, was born July 29, 1936, in Houston and passed away Saturday, March 4, 2017, in a Houston hospital. He was a 1954 graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and an Eagle Scout. He was a member of Memorial Baptist Church, where he served as a deacon and was a member of the Goose Creek Masonic Lodge #1192 and the Baytown Shrine Club and was a former member of the Rotary Club of Baytown. He was also formerly a co-owner of IMSCO.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George, Sr. and Alice Mae Armer; brother, George Armer, Jr.; daughter-in-law, Kathy Armer; and granddaughter, Sydney Leigh Armer. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Kay Armer, children and their spouses, Gary, Jr. and Terry Armer, Steven and Penny Armer, and Susan and Ronnie Hotchkiss, all of Baytown and grandchildren, Kayanne Armer, Trey Armer, Thomas Hotchkiss, Allison Hotchkiss, Madison Armer, Max Armer, Macy Armer, and Jacob Hotchkiss.
His family will receive friends in the sanctuary of Memorial Baptist Church, 600 W. Sterling St., Baytown, TX 77520, Friday, March 10, 2017, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a memorial service to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Randy Piatt officiating.
In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to Memorial Baptist or the charity of one's choice.
