

George Edward Humphrey passed away Friday, April 29, 2005 at his home in Houston. He was born June 14, 1935 in Baytown, Tx. to George and Effie Humphrey. He was the owner of an auto parts store, a veteran of the U. S. Marine Corps, and a member of the Jehovah’s Witness.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Jimmy Humphrey, and 2 brothers, A. D. Humphrey and Elmer Humphrey. He is survived by daughters & sons-in-law, Tammye & James Vaughn of Conroe, Naoma Jean Bruce of Clear Lake, Tracee Teague of Freeport, Shannon & Billy Pyron of New Caney, Patrice & Mark Bates of Grand Prairie, Kristen Miles of Channelview, sons & daughter-in-law, Keith Humphrey of Denton, Gene & Trisha Bell of Utah, George Humphrey, Jr. of Channelview, sisters & brothers-in-law, Jo Ann & Terry Shanks of San Saba, Linda & Pete Enderli of Baytown, brother & sister-in-law, Jack & Anna Humphrey of La Porte, grandchildren, Justin, James, Leigh, Nathan, Carah, Holli, Jodi, Stephen, Joshua, Aaron, Maygen, Corban, Madison, Evan, Karsten, Britten, Braiden, Trinity, Bishop, Jeremy, Charity, Steven, & Megan, great grandchildren, Shelby & Cheyenne, and former wife & devoted friend, Patricia Miles of Channelview.
Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, 2:00 pm, at Navarre Chapel with Allen French officiating. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday afternoon from 2-5 pm at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be George Humphrey Jr., Aaron Humphrey, Nathan Bruce, Justin Calhoun, Brian White, Billy Pyron, Wayne Vaughn, Leigh Vaughn, and Corban Bates. Honorary pallbearer will be Brian White.
