

Gertrude Georgia Jackson, 95, of Baytown, TX went to be with her Lord on January 18, 2005. She was born in Chapel Hill, TX. on Nov. 15, 1909 to Stanley and Mary Kopycinski. She was a homemaker who enjoyed growing beautiful flowers and arranging artificial flowers. She also enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and spending time with her family and friends. She was an active member of Central Baptist Church where she enjoyed serving on the landscape committee.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home, officiated by Rev. Eddie Norris. Burial will follow at San Jacinto Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Jay Jackson, Greg Sharp, Kevin Sharp, Michael Huebinger, Billy Sharp, and Tommy Sharp. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Central Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Charles W. Jackson, five sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by her step-children, Johnny Jackson and wife Shirley of Lufkin and Charlene Sharp and husband James of Baytown; grandchildren, Jay Jackson and wife Julie and Debbie Jackson of Lufkin, Greg Sharp and Kevin Sharp and wife Kristi of Baytown; great grandchildren, Kendall Jackson and Matthew Halvorson of Lufkin and Taylor Sharp and Reagan Sharp of Baytown; brother, Mike Kopycinski of Austin; and numerous other relatives and friends.
She is also survived by her stepdaughter, Pauline Jez of Sealy and her children Nita Heiling and husband Richard of Houston, Susie Stegal and husband Charles, and Davis Jez of Sealy; and great grandchildren, Amber Jez and Austin Heiling.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Frederico Dancel for his excellent care. Also special thanks to Lorna Buenrostro, Doris Shirley, Brycie Kitchen, Patsy Miller, Patricia Mackey, and Anita Gallagher for their love and care through her last days. A special thanks also to her loving church family and her loving neighbors.
