Funeral services will be held on Monday, February 8, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Earthman Funeral Home in Baytown, TX and graveside services will follow at Concord Cemetery Rye TX.
She is survived by two children, Herbert Alan Young and wife Teresa, Brenda Ann Counts and Husband Eddie Counts of Point Blank TX; 5 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great -grandchildren.
She was proceeded in death by her husband, Phillip Newton Young; brother, Ursel Fowler; and sister, Leveda George.
She worked for the Onalaska water department for many years. Gertrude and her husband Phillip loved to square dance together and were a member of Boots and Babes Club.
