Glenda was born to Lawrence and Etta Mae Davison on December 30, 1943 in Baytown, Texas. After spending much of her childhood in Nacogdoches, Texas, the family moved to Highlands where she graduated from Robert E Lee High School in 1962.
In November 1961 during her senior year, Glenda met the love of her life, Wayne on a blind date. From that day on, they were inseparable. If you look up “true love” in the dictionary, a photo of Wayne and Glenda is what you should find. In 1968, Glenda gave birth to their 1st daughter Ginger, and 5 years later their 2nd daughter Gay Lynn was born.
Throughout the years, Glenda always made sure that holidays and special occasions were magical, no matter how big or small. The family also enjoyed annual summer vacation adventures together. Glenda’s family was her pride and joy. She was fiercely protective and always encouraged her girls to live life to the fullest. She loved spending time with her grandchildren, growing plants and flowers, shopping, and crafting.
She is survived by her husband Wayne Prescott, daughter Ginger Mashburn (and husband Randy), daughter Gay Lynn Milliorn (and husband James), granddaughter Macy Breaux (and husband Tyler), grandson Michael Holder (and wife Amy), and great grandson Hudson Breaux. She also leaves to cherish her memory sister Jeannette Wicker (and husband Raymond), and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by Lawrence and Etta Mae Davison, (parents), Faye Henderson (sister), and Bo Holder (grandson).
A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday, January 8th from 5-8pm at Earthman Funeral Home in Baytown. The funeral service will be Thursday, January 9th at 10am at Earthman Funeral Home. Beau Rosser will officiate the ceremony.
The family would also like to thank the staff of Sylvan Shores Health and Wellness Center in La Porte for their loving and compassionate care during the last days of her life.
