Gracie Teten Schick

Gracie Teten Schick, 87, of Baytown was born December 19, 1923 in Cedar Bayou and passed away Saturday, April 9, 2011 in a local healthcare facility. She had formerly lived in Liberty and Fredericksburg, where she was a realtor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Bessie Teten; sisters, Mary Griffin and Gladys Glass; brothers, Bart, Earl, Harry, and Lee Ed Teten; and husband, Charles Schick. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Duaine Fitzgerald of Baton Rouge, LA; daughter, Elizabeth Cornish of Katy; stepsons, Jerry and Vernon Schick, both of Washington state; sister and brother-in-law, Florence and John K. Cummings of Highlands; and grandchildren, Kristin and Jack Gutweiler of Katy and Brett and Denise Fitzgerald of Baton Rouge, LA.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 beginning at 1:00 p.m. with a funeral service to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Mark Broussard officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery.
