

Harold Edwin (Sonny) Aiken Jr. 85, of Highlands, TX passed from this world on Tuesday July 9, 2013 at St. James House, in Baytown, TX. He was born in Sinton, TX on October 31, 1927. Sonny was the 5th child born to Harold Edward Aiken and Ellie Lee Mitchell. He graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown, TX. Then enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served until 1949. He began his career at Armco Steel in 1950 as an Electrician, progressing to the level of Maintenance Superintendent before his retirement in 1982. He married on June 20, 1952 to Polly Elizabeth Earle in Highlands, TX. He loved to fish and hunt, but mainly he loved the fellowship with his family and friends in these activities. He enjoyed traveling with his lifelong companion, Polly.
He is preceded in death by his parents and three of his sisters.

He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Polly Elizabeth Earle Aiken.

Sonny was a member of the Wallisville Rd. Church of Christ. Roy Fenner, minister at Wallisville Rd, will officiate the services.
