Harold served his country by joining the United States Air Force. After the Air Force he was a pipe line welder on shore, off shore, and all over the world. He enjoyed spending his time gardening, feeding birds and squirrels, shrimping, oystering, complimenting women, sitting on his porch smoking, and tormenting Carolyn.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Gail Garber.
He is survived by his daughter, Denise Gilmer and Spouse of Humble, TX; beloved step-children, Laura Henson and Spouse of Old River, TX, Lisa Norton-Gipson of Old River, TX, Celese Dixon and Spouse of Teague, TX, and Shawn Norton and Spouse of Crofton, KY; 23 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; special friend, Gilbert Vasquez; and beloved neighbor, Brian Martin.
