

Died Friday, 1 September, 2017 at San Jacinto Hospital, Baytown, Texas.
Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Jeane Lucas Odell and his son, Harry Dennis Odell.
He is survived by his daughter, Suzanne Odell Tisdale and her husband John Tisdale of Montgomery, Texas; daughter-in-law Brenda Sturrock Odell of Baytown, Texas; grandchildren Brent Tisdale and wife Julia Tisdale of Conroe; and Kimberly Tisdale Stone and husband Mike Stone of Conroe, Texas; several nieces and great-grandchildren.
Following his father’s early death, Harry moved from Henryetta to the New Orleans area where he graduated from Fortier High School, then attended trade school. He served in the Pacific islands under the U.S. Army during the Korean conflict. Harry made a career as a welder-pipefitter at Ethyl Corporation (later Albermarle) in Deer Park, and was well known throughout the plant for creating humorous welded wire figurines during his scheduled breaks. He divided his home life between Baytown and La Porte.
Harry’s cremains will be interred at Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Houston.
