

Hector worked in the oil fields of Corpus Christi area for 20 years. He retired as an Exxon machinist after 25 years. He was also an ESL instructor for Exxon employees, President of Local Union with Exxon, a member of the Exxon Tennis Team, and an ESL Board member at Promise.
He enjoyed hunting and was a Boy Scout Leader and Little League coach. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church where he served as DRE and Catechist for 25 years, Parish Council and was a Curcillista member. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
He is preceded in death by, Antonio Meza, Evangelina Martinez Meza, Celestino Meza, Gabrial Gutierrez, and Carlos Gonzalez.
He is survived by his wife, Dahlia Gonzalez Meza; Zelda Meza Cryar (Herb), Rosabel Meza Harrison, Terry Meza Nichols (Mike), Hector Meza, Eddie Meza, Alma (Pitsy) Meza, Virginia Meza Fleiner (Randy), Dr. Michael Meza (Casey), Evie Meza (Frank), Joshua Meza (Lauren), Crystal Rideau (Chris); 16 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; Diana Serrato (Arturo), Rosalinda Popesque (Radue), Sylvia Gonzalez (Carlos); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Joshua Meza, Eddie Meza, Dr. Michael Meza, Herb Cryar, Mike Nichols, and Randy Fleiner.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the CCE departments of Our Lady of Guadalupe and St. Joseph Catholic Church of Baytown TX.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday, August 7, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a rosary starting at 6:30 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at 9:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1124 Beech St., Baytown, TX 77520.
A graveside service and interment will be held on Monday, August 10, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Restlawn Memorial Park, 14166 Business 83, La Feria, TX 78559.
