Helen Jean Uptmor Barton, 80, passed away Nov. 27, 2011. She lived in Texas City for over 40 years, and resided in Baytown for three years. She loved to travel, and she competed in dance competitions into her fifties. She loved life, her grandkids and was always the life of the party.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Sharyon Tregre.
She is survived by her daughter, Georgia Jean Allen; son, James Max Uptmor and wife Marilyn; grandchildren, Laurie Renee Collins, Jaime Dawn Villareal and husband Isaac, David Kevin Costa and Nicholas Andrew Allen; great grandchildren, Kailee Lynn Costa, Jacob David Costa and Dublin Michael Collins and nieces, Arlissa Lynn LeGros and Chandra Annette Grubbs.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., at Earthman Funeral Home.
