Hubert Morris Johnson

Hubert M. Johnson 82, of Baytown, TX, went to his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 4, 2011. Hubert was born on October 24, 1928, in Atascotia County, TX but was raised in Cedar Bayou. He graduated from Cedar Bayou High School and was also a Veteran of the Korean War. Hubert worked at Mobil Mineral and Mining for 32 years before he retired. One of his hobbies was gardening and he was also a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents Morris and Winnie Johnson, and sister, LaVerne Ratley.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Margaret Johnson, son, Jay Johnson and wife Brenda, grandchildren, Jayme Burk and Cory Johnson, great-grandchild, Braelyn Burk, sister Velma and her husband Bill Barker, nieces, Vickye Watkins and Kathy Ward, nephew, Johnny Ratley, and many great nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at 11 a.m. at Earthman Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Rd, Baytown, TX 77521.

In Lieu of Flowers, Donations may be made to the Building Fund at Cedar Bayou Baptist or the Alzheimer Association.
