Irene Rivas Santos, age 93, of Baytown, Texas passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021. Irene was born October 20, 1928, to Domingo Rivas and Elisa Chavez, in El Soliceno Tamaulipas, Mexico. She worked hard taking care of her children and the love of her life Francisco.
She married Francisco P. Santos and from the union they had eight wonderful children, many many grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and many great-great grandchildren.
She had a passion for playing bingo, sewing, cooking and her grandchildren
She leaves to cherish her life and memory her, children and spouses, Maria Luisa Sierra, Humberto and †Natividad Medrano, Jose and Angela Cuevas, Eleazar and †Maria Rios, Antonio Santos and family, Osvaldo and Rosario Santos, Sylvia Santos, Jose Martin and Angelina Santos; brother, and family, many nephews, nieces and friends.
She is preceded in death by husband Francisco P. Santos, daughter Natividad Medrano, and Maria Rios and grandson Frank Santos
The family will receive friends on Monday, November 15, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., with a Rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. at Earthman Funeral Home.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 11 a.m., at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 1124 Beech St, Baytown. Interment will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Honoring the family as honorary pallbearer will be Daylan Santos
Active pallbearers will be Paul Sierra, Alex Medrano, Fernando Duran, Osvaldo Santos, Louigi Montes,
Jonathan Santos.
