Isauro Leal Alanis, 87, from San Agustín, Nuevo León, México, passed away on Sunday, March 20, 2016 at San Jacinto Methodist Hospital surrounded by his loving family and friends. He was born to Tomas Alanis and Tomasa Leal on February 17, 1929. He was a member of San Marcos UMC and he was the president of the Children’s Sunday School in the early 1990’s.
He is survived by his wife, Orfalinda Rendon Alanis; his son Roel Alaniz from Baytown, TX; daughter Adriana Rivera from Houston, TX; and grandchildren Berenice, Brenda, Alexis, Kelly, Walter, Madai, and Brian.
He will be remembered for his humanity towards human beings and for his courage and willingness to save others by risking his own life. His favorite bible verse was “This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.” 1 Timothy 1:15.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home.
