Jaime Ezequiel de la Garza

Jaime Ezequiel De La Garza, 47, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. He was born on January 8, 1979, in McAllen, Texas, to Eunesi Lerma and Jaime De La Garza. Jaime proudly graduated from Dayton High School, in Dayton, Texas, class of 1997. His passion for serving others led him into a law enforcement career, where he remained, until his medical retirement.

Jaime pursued many interests, some of which included his love for collecting plants and Hot Wheels, singing karaoke, and listening to music. He was an avid trumpet player, where he played in the band at Northwestern State University in Louisiana. Jaime also enjoyed fishing and going to the beach in his free time. Above all, his greatest joy came from the precious time he spent with his family.

Jaime was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Eliza and Rafael Lerma; his paternal grandparents Jose Santos and Nieves Eluvinia De La Garza; his uncles Javier De La Garza and Martin Lerma; and his aunt Elizabeth Garcia. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his parents; his son Martin De La Garza; his sisters Emrani Hernandez and husband Rudy and Jewel Eesa De La Garza; his nieces Mackenzie and Ezra Marrero; his numerous aunts and uncles; and his many cousins; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
