Jim, a Vietnam Veteran, retired from the Navy in 1970. He enjoyed fishing and vegetable gardening. He was a beloved brother of New Wine Christian Church, and will be truly missed for his genuine smile and his love for fellowship.
He is survived by his wife Nancy; his children Wendy Franklin, Jerry Franklin, Becky Wood, and Jeff Lancaster; grandchildren, Lauren, Kourtni, Matthew, Evan, Madison, Seth, and Riley; and a host of friends.
A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 10 A.M., Saturday, July 14, at New Wine Christian Church, 5410 FM 1942, Baytown, TX.
In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to: New Wine Church in memory of Jim Franklin. This will go to Bio & Derida, our missionaries in Guatemala. They were always in his prayers.
