

Jim was born in Baytown, TX on October 16, 1973 to M. E. “Buddy” Hales and Terry Dunn Hales. He attended school in Baytown and Crosby. He attended Crosby High School but graduated from Ross S. Sterling of Baytown. He had a hard time trying to decide what kind of career he wanted to pursue, He took some college courses and then went to trade school where he started on an electrical license. He was employed by Melvin Electrical at the time of his death.
Jim is preceded in death by his grandparents, B.E “Blackie” and Juanita Hales; and his father, M.E. “Buddy” Hales.
Jim is survived by his wife, Dana Hales of Houston, TX; sons, Cameron Hales of Crosby, TX, Tyler Hales and Matthew Baker of Richards, TX; mother, Terry Hales of Crosby, TX; grandmother, Jane Harbes of Pasadena, TX; sisters, Sabrina Hales of Baytown, TX, and Leslie Hales of Houston, TX; brother, Jeremy Saintes and wife Crystal of Crosby, TX; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as a host of other friends.
Jim had lots of friends and there weren't many people that knew him that didn’t think he was one of the smartest, funniest, and coolest guys they knew. He was always smiling and laughing and would get you to smile and laugh with him. Jim never met a stranger. Jim loved all kind of music and was always playing something. He liked working on his truck, he was a gadget man. Jim enjoyed spending his time in the Hill Country and riding the Guadalupe River with his family and friends. Many will miss his life lessons and the stories that went along with each one.
Serving as pallbearers will be; Tony Wurz, Cameron Hales, Brandon Little, Jeremy McDowell, Tony Jones, and Jason Banks.
A Celebration of life will be held at his home at 3511 Deep Anchor Way, Crosby, TX following Tuesday’s services.
