

Rodney spent the majority of his life in Baytown,TX. He worked in the auto parts business at a young age, met his wife, Laurie and raised their son, Michael. He made his career as a technician for 24 years at Bayer/Covestro before retiring in 2014. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hosting friends and family at his home. Rodney was diagnosed with a rare neurological disease, Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), in 2018. In his final years, Rodney AKA Peepaw enjoyed spending time with his granddaughters.
He was preceded in death by his wife Laurie Kader; his father, John Kader; and his mother, Opal Neal Kader. He is survived by his son and daughter in-law, Michael and Leah Kader of Boerne, TX; granddaughters, Margaret and Laurelle Kader; his soon to be grandson, brother and sister-in-law, Neal and Lori Kader of Houston, sister, Gwen French of Fredericksburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and his dogs, Abbigail and Gracie.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Saturday, January 6th, beginning at 10:00 a.m. with a funeral to follow at 11:00 a.m. At his request, he will be cremated afterwards.
