James Michael Strange

He was born March 31, 1956 in Bastrop, Louisiana to his late parents, Horace Strange and Ruby Andrews Strange, had lived in Highlands for the last 30 years and was a Senior Project Manager with Brand Energy working at ExxonMobile in Baytown.

Mike was a member of Lodge #231 AF&AM in Highlands, was a 32 degree Mason and a member of the Scottish Rite and the Shriners. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Harley-Davidsons and spending all of the time he could with his children and their spouses, 12 lovely grandchildren, and the love of his life, Pat Strange.

Mr. Strange was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Cindy Ray.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Pat Strange of Highlands; children, Roy Fuentes, Jr. and his wife Lucy of Baytown, Wendy Berthelot and her husband Doug of Crosby, Michael Strange of Crosby and Michelle Noseworthy and her husband Eric of Cove; brothers, Harold Strange and Jason Strange both of Wichita, Kansas; brother-in-law; Billy Ray of Bastrop; grandchildren, Katelyn Berthelot, Ashlynn Berthelot, Kariana Fuentes, Tiffani Strange, Luke Anderton, Kaleb Fuentes, Chloe Anderton, Brett Strange, Brayden Berthelot, Brooke Strange, Kody Fuentes and Matthew Noseworthy and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins and a host of friends and co-workers.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, February 23, 2012 at Navarre Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, February 24, 2012 at the funeral home with Pastor Keenan Smith officiating.

Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be: Tony Herrington, Shane Lingefelt, Johnny Ray Freeman, Little Pete Hicks, Martin ""Bubba"" Perez, Richard Phillups, Tony Velasquez, Kelly Waltmon.
