Janet Ruth Thompson, 75, of Baytown was born November 6, 1933 in Houston and passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 in a local hospital. She was a member of Second Baptist Church and the Texas Polio Survivor's Association, Inc.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Thompson and son, Douglas Thompson. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Joanie Hessler of Hurrucane, WV; daughter and son-in-law, Tricia and Walt Nolan of Baytown; brother and sister-in-law, Robert George and Jeannine Fletcher of Normangee; sister-in-law, Mavis Smith of Rockport; grandchildren, Cory Hessler, Eric and Tracey Nolan and Sara and Bryan Tucker; great grandson, Devin Nolan; and special caregiver, Carrell Varnell.
Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Burroughs officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
