Janice E Burkett

Janice Elaine Burkett, 78, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2026. She was born on September 19, 1947, in Houston, Texas, to the late Leon Virgil and Emily Stuchlik Henry. Janice married the love of her life, a young man by the name of Norman. Together they built a beautiful life together, filled with love and laughter for the next 46 years until his passing in March. She made her career as a buyer for Grocers Supply, where she proudly retired after 35 years.

Janice pursued many interests, some of which included her love for traveling, camping and going to the beach. She also enjoyed quilting and working with stained glass. Janice had a passion for genealogy and would often research her family back to the 1800’s. Janice was a very meticulous person and was extremely organized. This ability helped keep all her research easy to follow. Above all her greatest joy came from the time spent with her family.

Janice was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband Norman. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her daughter Kelly Wilson; her son Clint Wilson; her grandchildren Ryan, Kendall, and Jacob Budd, and other grandchildren; her brother Charles Henry; her sister Adralene Collins; her niece Stephanie Collins; her stepdaughters Janie Shirley and Kristi Sandel and husband ken; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be held at Cedarcrest Cemetery, 3010 Ferry Road, Baytown, Texas 77520, on August 27, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
