Jean Chandler Epperson

Jean Chandler Epperson, 91 of Baytown passed away on Wednesday, April 25, 2007 at the Swan Manor Assisted Living Center in Baytown. She was born on December 10, 1915 in Diboll, Texas to Parents: William Chandler and Annie Taylor Chandler. She was a member of the Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church in Baytown, was a lifetime member of the Order of Eastern Star and was the co-owner, along with her husband of the Massey Electric Company.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years: Ishmael Epperson; Parents: William and Annie Chandler; Brothers: Commander Jack Chandler and Edmond Chandler; Sisters: Amesses Massey, Rhonda Faye Chandler and Jimmie Ferguson and Grandchild: Jean Zayas.

She is survived by her Sons: Jimmy Epperson and his wife Eva Joe and Jerry Epperson and his wife Patricia Ann; Daughter: Gwen Tooke and her husband Jesse; Brother: O’Hara Chandler; Sister-in-law; Etta Epperson; Grandchildren: James Darin Epperson and his wife Gloria, Richard Brian Epperson and his wife Kendra, Britt Tooke and his wife Robin, Rebecca Jean Epperson, Matthew Epperson and his wife Cindee and Mario Zayas; 9 Great-Grandchildren and Numerous Nieces and Nephews.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, April 29, 2007 from 3:00 P. M. until 5:00 P. M. at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown. Funeral services for Mrs. Jean Chandler Epperson will be held on Monday, April 30, 2007 at 10:00 A. M. at Cedar Bayou United Methodist Church in Baytown with Rev. Tommy Lyles officiating. Burial will follow at Cedarcrest Cemetery in Baytown.

Honoring the family as pallbearers will be: Jimmy Epperson, Jerry Epperson, Britt Tooke, Bo Epperson, Richard Epperson and Matt Epperson. Honorary pallbearers will be: Jesse Tooke, Mario Zayas and all of her Nephews.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Swan Manor Assisted Living Center and the staff of Faith Community Hospice for the love and care given to our Mother. We want to give a special thanks to Frances Washington who cared for her for many hours.
