Jessie Tucker

Jessie Tucker, 79, of Baytown, TX was born July 11, 1932, in Highlands to Ernest B., Sr. and Annie Salter and passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012 in a Baytown healthcare facility. She was a member of Cedar Bayou Baptist Church. Jessie enjoyed cooking for her family and was known for her delicious pies. She always welcomed any guest coming to the door by yelling the words ""Scratch under."" She also enjoyed shopping and traveling with her cousin, Betty Jo Harrison, and spending time with her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest B., Sr. and Annie Salter; son, Michael Ray Tucker; brother, Ernest B. Salter; and sister, Mary Lee Sinclair. She is survived by her husband, Bill Tucker of Highlands; son Rick Tucker of Baytown and son and daughter-in-law Eddie and Linda Tucker, of Cove; sister, Annie Mae Utz of California; grandchildren, TMC (SS)Michael Glen Tucker and wife Lindsey of Honolulu Hawaii, Amber Hazlewood and husband Robert of Cove, Larissa Tucker of Baytown, Christopher Tucker and wife Savannah of Baytown, Johnathan Tucker of Highlands, and 7 great-grandchildren Alera, Connor and Carter Hazlewood and Rhett, Wyatt, Jackson and Carly Tucker. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Friday from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Graveside services will be Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 12 Noon at the Gann Cemetery in Central, Texas in Angelina County.
