Jesus Sanchez

Jesus Sanchez, Sr., 73, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on September 8, 1952, in Cameron County, Texas, to the late Jose Maria and Isabel Rodriguez Sanchez. Jesus made his career as a pipefitter in the industrial field.

Jesus pursued many interests, some of which included his love for doing scratch offs, fishing, and hunting. He also enjoyed going to the beach or just being outdoors. Jesus had a passion for listening to music and singing. He was a hard worker and a wonderful provider for his family. His generosity was seen throughout his community, because he was always willing to help others when they needed it. Jesus enjoyed making others smile, and he could easily light up any room with just his presence. He found pleasure in the simple things in life like just sitting out on the porch watching the birds or the precious time spent with his family.

Jesus was preceded in death by his parents; his brother Juan Sanchez; his sisters Julia Mendez and Rafaela Sanchez; and his nephew Alvaro Sanchez. He leaves behind to cherish his loving memory his beloved wife Rachel Sanchez; his children Maria Sanchez, Jesus Sanchez, Jr. and wife Connie, Felipa Mesa and husband Michael, Ernest Sanchez and wife Crystal, Betty Jane Sanchez; George Sanchez and wife Rachel and Lorenzo Sanchez and wife Josie; his 23 grandchildren; his 19 great-grandchildren; his nephew Norberto Sanchez; his numerous siblings; his many nieces and nephews; an array of cousins; his close friend Rey Lopez; his bird Toto; along with a host of other loving friends and family.

Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Jesus Sanchez Jr., Ernest Sanchez, George Sanchez, Lorenzo Sanchez, Gilbert Perez, and Norberto Sanchez.

Visitation will be held at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521, US, on August 21, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A Funeral will take place at Earthman Baytown Funeral Home, 3919 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521, US, on August 22, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm. A Graveside service will follow at Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery, 8624 Garth Road, Baytown, TX 77521, US, on August 22, 2026, from 3:30 pm to 4:00 pm.
