Jimmy Glen Owens

Jimmy's greatest passion in life was his family. He had a gentle strength that could carry his loved ones through life's most trying storms. His very presence somehow made rough waters calm. From bouncing a baby on his arm while singing one of his favorite songs to breaking out his tools to help with any project his love of family was evident in all that he did.

Jimmy leaves behind a legacy of love that will never be forgotten by friends and family.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Mae Owens; brothers, G.W., Billy, Jr. and Morris Owens and sisters, Mary Jo Hudson and Skeets Irby.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; daughters, Kimberly Dillard and husband, Raymond, Alicia Kay Owens, Kristina Ellis; brothers, Jerry Owens and Nugget Jackson; grandchildren Stefani Goulder, Glenn Rogers, Andrew Jones, Joshua Lyrock, Kira Budro and Harley Budro; great grandchild, Heidi Goulder; daughter at heart, Sherrie Luna and husband, Michael and their sons, Tyler and Justin; daughter at heart, Tara Brown and husband Clay and their sons, Aaron and Gavin and his trusted friend, Tom Nowlin as well as numerous other family and friends.

Visitation on Friday, May 19, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, TX. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 1 p.m. also at Navarre Funeral Home in Baytown, TX. Burial to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Baytown, TX.
