Jo Anne Murphy

Jo Anne had a career in Medical Billing for Gulf Coast Hospital and Exxon Credit Union, and she was a devoted housewife.

She was a member of the Kingdom Hall Jehovah’s Witness since 1957. Jo Anne enjoyed crafts, her animals, and the Houston Astros.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard G. Murphy, Sr.; son, Patrick L. Murphy; father, Edward Stewart; mother, Stella Stewart; sisters, Marjorie Smith, Betty Baker, Juanita Whitmire, Barbara Gibson; brothers, Jerald Stewart, Jimmy Stewart, and baby Edward Stewart.

She is survived sons, Bernard G. Murphy, Jr. and his wife Beth Ann, and Mark S. Murphy and daughter in law, Linda Johnson; sister, Dorothy Compton of Baytown, TX; grandchildren, Micah S. Murphy Sr. and wife Tina, Bernard G. Murphy, III and wife Bobbie, Jessica Staudt and husband Jordan, Mariah Angele' and husband Chris Arnett; great grandchildren, Erin Rowe and husband Matthew, Madison Armstrong, Isaiah Armstrong, Micah S. Murphy, Jr.; great great grandchildren, Lyndon Staudt, Logan Staudt, Kai Boyd, and Cooper Rowe.

A visitation for Jo Anne will be held Saturday, September 23, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM with funeral service to begin at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Navarre Funeral Home, 2444 Rollingbrook Drive, Baytown, Texas 77521. Interment will follow in Cedarcrest Cemetery at 12:30 PM, Baytown, TX
