Joan Marie Munson

Joan Marie Munson, 66, of Baytown passed away peacefully Monday, September 21, 2015 in Baytown. She was born August 29, 1949 in Chicago, Illinois to her late parents Lennart Emil Munson and Rose Marie Lydia Berndt.

Joan grew up in the Hobart, Indiana area and lived in Baytown for the last 35 years. She was a retired real estate agent and worked at Exxon Chemical Polymers Plant for 15 years. She enjoyed gardening, remodeling homes, delivering for Meals On Wheels and taking care of her animals. She also loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her brother, Howard Munson and wife Mary, nieces Holly, Chrissy and Emma; her children Gary Monacy, Jr. and wife Judy, Toni Monacy Sturm and husband Fletcher, Veronica Jimenez and partner James Lafour, Jr. Also her grandchildren; Kyndal, Kaylin, Jarred, Jordan, Hailey, Morgan, Avery, Lauren and Korey.

A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 17th, 2015 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Navarre Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the nurses and caregivers at St James House for all their love and compassion. They would also like to thank Gary Monacy, Sr. and wife Michele for taking care of her and their continued love and support over the years.
